Capital Gains Tax

I am committed to reversing last year’s Liberal capital gains tax hike, which threatens over 400,000 jobs and a $90 billion loss in GDP. This tax increase harms jobs, homebuilders, investment, and small businesses. We must reverse the hike and make up for the lost revenue by cutting wasteful corporate welfare and subsidies.

Under the Liberals, our economy has suffered. With the support of his economic advisor Mark Carney and former Finance Minister Freeland, Justin Trudeau imposed a tax that stifles growth and drives billions of dollars out of Canada. This tax will make housing more expensive during a crisis, force doctors to leave amid a shortage, and raise the cost of living for Canadians.

You deserve a Member of Parliament who will fight to permanently eliminate the capital gains tax hike, create jobs, and end wasteful spending and harmful policies.
